The course looks at the crucial role played by Heads in ensuring staff retention in schools. We consider the research underpinning the topic of retention; consider the importance of building a positive school culture in which performance management plays a constructive role; assess balancing workload and maintaining a work-life balance; and on the way we’ll be looking at benefits and salaries and addressing the question of providing employees with agency and voice.
